Hello,
I have an NT4 server with 28 W2K workstations conncected.
I have just purchased a laptop with Windows XP
professional. I'm trying to bring that laptop into our
domain but I keep getting the following message "error
code 0x0000267C DNS_ERROR_NO_DNS_SERVERS". It seems the
domain server cannot be found, yet I can see the laptop
from the other domain workstations. Please Help!!!

what's the event id? I would check the WINS and DNS settings on both domain
and xp.

What do you mean by the event's id? All other workstations
login fin on the domain except that one XP professional
workstation. How do I check WINS and DNS settings?
Thanks for your help...

The event Id is 8003 with the message "The master browser
has rececived a server announcement from the computer XXX
thet believes that it is the master browser for the domain
on tranport NetBT_N1003. The master browser is stopping or
an election is being forced."

Thanks for all the help...

we need more information to help. do this server two NICs? check the tcp/ip
settings or post them here. Or you may want to use browstat.exe from
resource kits to troubleshoot.
