Is there a setting to change the transfer time on the MS DNS servers?
We are noticing the primary isnt transfering the zone right away to the
secondaries and I'm looking for a way for all changes on the primary to
be xfer immediatley to the secondaries.

In a true Primary/Secondary zone transfer, (not AD Integrated zones between
DCs) they occur when something changes. It's something that doesn't get
scheduled.

Have you tried to delete the secondary zone, and re-create it making sure
the correct Master IP is specificied? In the Primary zone properties, are
zone transfers allowed from the Primary zone to the secondary?

Any firewalls blocking DNS (UDP and TCP 53) traffic?

Thanks Ace. there are now f/w, etc blocking traffic and this is not a
problem all the time. When we do see this, we restart the DNS service
or delete the sec zones and recreating them.

Sorry about the late response, and hope you've fixed this by now. But for
what it's worth, I remember a hotfix that addressed DNS stopping. However if
DNS is installed on a multihomed machine with oneof the interfaces a PPPoE
interface, and the modem falls asleep due to inactivity, then essentially
the PPPoE interface is stopped, and if DNS is listening on that interface,
it will cause DNS service to stop. There are also issues with PPPoE and DNS,
along with IE with the shorter MTU.

Otherr than that, I hope you have fixed the issue. Otherwise, maybe I can
suggest to use AD integrated zones?

Thanks Ace. I realized I had notify checked off, which was causing a
time out to the seconday DNS servers. Once I cleared the box, the
problem went away. Thanks for all the help.
