DNS to URL mapping

Morning.

This company has a website and does not have port 80 open on the firewall
and they refuse to open it, is there a way to map there URL in DNS from
www.domain.com to www.domain.com:8080.


Basically, anyone going to www.domain.com will never know the differance.

No.

DNS performs name resolution only.

Question 1: Why would they refuse to open port 80 if they want to enable a
public website?

Question 2: If they refuse to open port 80, why would they open port 8080?

Question 3: How is port 8080 any safer than port 80 if all the traffic is
going to the same destination?

Sounds like this company has some management that does not understand the
basic priciples of the internet.
