I have 2 different sites that ARE NOT part of the same
company and ARE NOT connected in any way.
Site 1 - Has 2 Windows 2000 Server with DNS installed and
a PIX firewall (6.3) connect to the internet
Site 2 - Have 3 Windows 2000 Servers with 2 running DNS
and a PIX firewall (6.3) connected to the internet
Without rhyme or reason, no matter what time of day or
night, these DNS server will saturate the network and
cause a network outage for about 15 min.
Best way to describe it is a DNS Storm. - Looks like their
querying the Root Hint servers
Any Ideas?
