Hi, I'm setting up a fake domain to test out Exchange 2003. I am very new
to this. Could someone, anyone, please help me out with getting DNS setup
properly?
I just need some settings to get it up for testing Exhcange 2003.
I just have one computer running, with a connection to the internet, and
this computer will be the DC if i can get DNS set up properly
THank you to anyone who can help!!

This should be pretty simple.

- Promote the server to a DC
- During that process you will be prompted to install DNS
- Select a "dummy" domain name, such as "company.internal"

The setup process will configure DNS properly for the domain. Make sure
you point the server to itself for DNS as well as pointing your clients to
that server for DNS as well.
