hi
i have one question:
is it possible to set a main dns in active directory together with forwarder
up on the same host ?
I need to use forwarder to connect my local network to internet,
any other idea ?

thank you for a help

Not only is it possible but this is how most people probably have it set up.
Point all your internal clients to the internal DNS server and configure
that same server to forward to your ISP. It will only forward queries it
cannot resolve so all requests for internal names should be handled locally.

A "main DNS [server] in active directory" (which I presume should have been "a
DNS server publishing the DNS database content for my own Active Directory
domain") is not the same thing as a "DNS root server" (unless one has made a
_very_ foolish, and exceedingly unlikely, choice of Active Directory domain
name).

Which are you actually asking about ?

A root server cannot have a forwarder, and without the delegations that are
needed a root won't resolve names it does not own.
You can either delete the root "." zone which will enable root hints and
allow you to enable a forwarder or add the root delegations. To add the
delegations follow this: 294906 - How to Delegate All Internet Top-Level
Domains on an Internal Root DNS Server

Yes. In addition to what others said, weather using AD zone or not does not
effect forwarding. Forwarding is seperate from how you choose to store your
zones. To use forwarding and/or root-hints, delete the "." (root) Forward
zone on your server. root-hints will work automatically (assuming firewall
rules allow it, etc.) You can also, setup forwarders to your ISP, which is
common.
