My client pc is on a win2k network. I have Administrative
tools installed on this computer too. when i run DNS via
administrative tools, i am unable to connect to the DC
located in my office...i deleted the server in DNS and
reconnected using the ip address and it works, This
problem is only with my pc....

Since you are able to connect by IP address, it sounds like a DNS resolution
problem. What DNS is listed in TCP/IP properties on the client?
It should be using only the DC for DNS.

the the DC in my office is the Primary DNS server for my
location, I am also pointing to a secondary dns server in
another office about a mile down the street

You should only use the DNS for the AD domain, use nslookup to verify you
have DNS resolution.
