I am looking to place an application between the browser
(IE/Firefox/Opera) and the Windows Resolver for the purpose of
translating DNS queries. Can this be done? proxy?

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Perhaps some of the definitions and explanations below might help?

Windows version?

I am looking to do this in windows XP professional/home and I would
like to affect IE6/7, Firefox 1.5/2 and Opera. By this I mean that all
of them would use the same system wide resolver and not separate ones
(I would hope); therefore, I should be able to intercept these DNS
queries at some bottleneck.
The application is?

The application will manipulate DNS queries before they are sent to the
resolver. I am not sure if this can be done except to create a local
proxy that will translate and then forward the manipulated DNS queries.

Any ideas?
