DNS problem

Mike

I have a win2k advanced server that's running my DNS. I
have a few sites on this computer with the DNS setup and
everything works fine. But sometimes when I try to go to
one of the domains in the browser, I get a DNS error. And
if I referesh the browser window again, it displays the
page. Any idea what might be causing this? The server is
connected to a router and I'm connected to the net by
cable modem and have a statis ip address.

Thank you,

Mike

What DNS addresses are you using on your server? You should ONLY use your
own DNS and not the ISP's (in all your internal machines). COnfigure a
forwarder to your ISP... instructions here:
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=300202.

This way all requests will go to YOUR DNS first. Internet requests will be
send to the ISP.
