I can ping a web site from a workstation but I cannot see
the website in a browser !!

eg ping www.bbc.co.uk works fine but typing the URL in
the browser receives a DNS failure message.

W2K workstations + Win2K server with 2 x NIC using
private IP for LAN and public IP for broadband
connection. Server is AD PDC with NAT & DHCP

If you use nslookup, can that resolve www.bbc.co.uk/ as well? I ask because
nslookup uses it';s own internal resolver and doesn't rely on the OS. Also,
does the browser have any specific settings in respect to a proxy setting?
If you install Netscape, does it happen to that as well?
