Hi, please because on having realized a DCPROMO there are
not updated the records of the DNS of automatic form? And
since I can solve it.
Thank you

DNS server(s) for the Zone which supports the Active Directory must
be DYNAMIC.

All clients AND servers must point ONLY at the Dynamic DNS server (set)
(Do not point a client at both an internal DNS and an external DNS)

Even DNS Servers and DCs are DNS clients.

If you fix either of the above problems then restart the NetLogon service on
every DC.

Hi,
I have been receiving errors event ID: 4004; as well as ntfrs 13504, 13506,
13555, 13567.

But on one DC, when I go to command prompt and browse to the documents and
settings folder,
I get :
ADMINI~1~SER
Administrator.Server3

Why has the ~ appeared?
And the Domain name is not Server3, rather CONSARCDG.

On another DC, I have the correct one :
Administrator.CONSARCDG

Server3 does not exist on this domain which is the only domain we have.
By the way: does an error in DNS Event 5504 : he DNS server encountered an
invalid domain name in a packet from 66.197.0.3. The packet is rejected.

What is happening?
I would have sent you the DCDIAGS and the NETDIAGS logs but it is large.

What does www.EventId.net say about these? Or search Microsoft through
google with
something like:

[ event id 4004 site:microsoft.com ] (substitute different IDs.)

That Administrator.Server3 is where the LOCAL Admin logged on to the
machine and received a local profile.

Even if this is a DC, there IS a local admin (reachable in Directory
Services
Restore Mode from the F8 boot screen) or perhaps it was saved before the
machine became a DC.

Don't (necessarily) send them, search them instead for FAIL, WARN, ERROR
and fix those problems or query us about those specifics (with short
excerpts.)

Make sure that the DC and all clients point at a AD DNS server. This server must also then have the DNS zone configured to
allow dynamic updates. Check the zone for the existance of the _msdcs, _sites, _tcp, and _udp folders. This is usually a sign
that the DCs are registering correctly.

Thank you,

Are you trying to say DNS is not updating?
Do you have the IP of your local DNS server ONLY in TCP/IP properties?
Do you have "Allow dynamic updates" set to "Yes" on the zone properties?
Post back with an ipconfig /all and the actual domain name in ADU&C so we
can verify your settings and that there is no disjointed name space.
