am
I have windows xp on a pc which I connected to the network with
normal wired type network card and everything worked.
I put in a linksys wpc11 and wdt11 (which is a pcmcia wireless card in a pci
adapter).
With this installed I can ping machines on network and I can ping to machine
from network but I cannot browse with iexplore.
I get message "server not found".
I have tried dissabling the built-in LAN thingy in the bios.
when I try installing the wireless card again it (XP) installs a bridge or
something ?
It also asks the question "tick which of these interfaces is the network
connection and leave blank which is connected directly to the internet."
I don't want any of these I don't think
I want the built-in lan to go away and for xp to use the wireless card
I have got the laptop wireless with win 98 efortlessly, ditto the wired
network card connections.
The connections show up in the access point logs.
What could be wrong ?
