DNS not working

One of my users running XP Pro is having problems with
DNS. She can't ping any of our network resources by name
but she can by IP address. I have tried starting and
stopping the DNS client on her system but that did not
help. I also cleared the IP stack by using the NetShell
command and then re-entered the DNS and Wins information
but that did not help. I have even tried a different port
on the switch. What now?

Is NSLOOKUP able to resolve queries against the DNS? Is this workstation
configured to use internal DNS's only or are external DNS's also listed? I
assume you can ping the DNS's IP address successfully?

FYI. Doing a repair of XP got DNS working again.

NSLOOKUP works fine. The system is using both internal
and external DNS's but only 1 is external and I can ping
the DNS's by IP. and
confers no rights.
