I am running windows 2000 as the server OS and exchange
2000 for emailing system.
After installing the last critical update (for windows
2000) from Microsoft, I rebooted the server and it gave me
an error that DNS server started before primary server
(event ID 5774). to get rid of that I edited the registry
and added DNS in the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlset\Services\Netlog
on.
But in this process I removed the other two entrees in
this registry by mistake. CAn somebody send me or email me
these entries.

Well, that error is normally caused by using an external DNS server in your
DC and client machines. Normally you only need to use your internal server
only and configure a forwarder to your ISP's DNS. Normally just fixing this
will eliminate the error. Reg alterations are not the best method to fix
this issue.

Which entries? Are they under the netlogon key (11 of them) or under one of
the subkeys (parameters or security subkey)? Our entries may be different
then yours.
