dns lookup failure

Mrfixit

This occured during an upgrade to W2k Server.
Had to rebuild from scratch, promoted to a DC and
receive the following error when doing dcdiag.
All servers are pingable.
Error:

is registered correctly with the DNS server.

Can you post an ipconfig /all from this DC?
I suspect possible disjointed namespace or you ISP's DNS in TCP/IP
properties.

We have checked and rechecked all network/TCP
setting and they seem to be correct.
We believe, the same cname for stale quids that won't
scavegn on their own. Or the configuration is not
correct to delete those records??

I prefer not posting actual IP Add on the web.
