Hi, I have to set up a dns server in a W2K environment with a local domain
called xyz.com.
The problem is that I have found the same xyz.com domain already registered
on internet. I'm going to have some problems when I'll try to resolve for
example pop.xyz.com, that in this case will be a local machine but already
existent on the internet. Any idea on how to solve this? They won't to
change domain name!

Thanks

Max

Using your example, in your internal Forward Lookup zone for xyz.com create
a new host named pop and give it the IP address it needs to access the pop
server.

As you would do. It belongs to Michael Galassi.

Register and use a domain name of your own.
