I am currently running Windows 2000 SP4. It is a Small Business Server with
Exchange, DNS, and DHCP. DNS is Active-Directory Integrated. My domain name
is a single-label domain name "NE". And my PDC is named Thomas. For some
reason I am getting error messages indicating that my other DNS servers and
itself cannot verify the DNS registration for my PDC "Thomas.NE". I really
think this is causing several problems. One being no communication between a
recently installed domain controller. Below is the error message in a
"NETDIAG" DNS test:

209.115.209.134 and 209.115.208.144 are external IP's on Thomas for hosting
mail and DNS. 10.0.0.15 is another AD integrated DNS server, 10.0.0.3 is a
secondary DNS server.

Verify DNS registration:
Name: thomas.NE
Expected IP: 10.0.0.4
Server 10.0.0.15: ERROR_NO_MATCH
Wrong IP in DNS: 209.115.209.134 209.115.208.144
Server 10.0.0.3: ERROR_NO_MATCH

Wrong IP in DNS: 209.115.209.134 209.115.208.144
[FATAL]: The DNS registration for 'thomas.NE' is incorrect on
all DNS servers.
Check the DNS registration for DCs entries on DNS server '10.0.0.4'

Then I get these messages for these 2 records for evey DNS server. I don't
know if it has something to do with "NE" and "NE." Is the missing period the
issue. How do I fix this problem. It is causing so many little headaches....
and who knows what other problems
