DNS Issue

I have a network with one DC and one fileserver. I am
trying to add an additional DC for an existing domain.
The new server tell me that it can't find the "ydi.com"
domain. I think this is because of a DNS Lookup problem,
but I have checked all the settings and i can't figure it
out. Can anyone help?

The new DC must be pointing at ONLY the existing DC for DNS. Also, the existing DC should only point at itself for DNS. The
existing DC should also have a forward lookup zone in DNS that matches the name of the AD and this zone should be set to
allow dynamic updates. With that, verything should work.

As Michael mentions, remove your ISP's DNS from all your internal machines'
IP properties. Use a forwarder for efficient Internet resolution.

What's happening is that it's asking your ISP's DNS "Where's my ydi.com
resources and services at?" and they can't answer that, hence your DNS
lookup problem.
