DNS GENERATES DDNS ERRORS

Dear Friends .
We have a W2k domain with uses its Domain Controller as a
DNS server , This server registers all the related recoeds
on the DNS but it generates many registration ERRORS about
THESE REGISTERED! records , such as _ldap .
We tested at many situations , with 4 different servers
with Formatted HDDs .

Kambizzz, can you post those specific errors you're speaking of out of the
Event logs please (the Event ID#s please).

A number of things can cause this, such as Primary DNS Suffix being
incorrect or missing, DNS servers in your IP properties, zone configuration,
etc. If you can also post a little more info along with that, it would
better help us to diagnose it, such as:

1. An Unedited ipconfig /all please

2. The AD DNS Domain name (as it shows in your ADUC)

3. What Service Pack the machine is on.
