Hi, I forgot the correct way to setup dns for this. I have my 2000 DC
behind my firewall. On the network dns settings for the server, I think I'm
supposed to point it to itself. The setup fowarders to the ISP dns entries.

How do I do this again?

Thanks
David

In the NIC\IP\DNS Server setting leave the internal servers
setup to themselves.

In the DNS SERVER MMC property sheets, use the "Forwarder tab"
to set the correct "external" DNS server(s).

As Herb has pointed out, the DNS server should be configured in it's IP properties to point to itself only for DNS. The DNS server service should then be
configured with a forwarder to your ISP. All internal servers and clients should then only point to your internal DNS server for DNS.

Thanks,
