Hi All

Got an Event error saying the Forward entry in the Registry was corrupt and
I should delete this entry and reenter the Forwarders - see online help for
more details.....er where? I have checked SUPPORT but can't see any
document explaining how to solve this problem. Can anybody point me in the
right direction.

Cheers

It is pretty much as the error says you need to re-enter your forwarders on
the forwarders tab.

Hi Kevin

Tried that. After a few minutes I get the error and the details have
disappeared from the Forwarders tab. So I thought its like it says the
registry entry is corrupt and needs completely deleted and reentered - but
how?

Here is the KB that describes the registry for DNS, you may have to delete
the forwarders key and re-enabled forwarders to re-create the key.

I only experienced the error you're receiving on the beta releases but
the following procedure fixed it in those instances -

* Stop the DNS service
(run SERVICES.MSC)

* Run REGEDIT
(be careful with this tool unless you're already familiar with it)

* Navigate to -
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\DNS\Parameters

* Delete the Forwarders value
(on the right)

* Start the DNS service
(run SERVICES.MSC)
