I want to setup a DNS entry for our web server so that users can connect to
our corporate website by just typing the domain name instead of www.domain .
How can I do it. I created an entry with no server name but it didnt work
since all of our DCs have a similar entry.

Pls help.

Here is one problem of hosting your public dns and your private dns on the
same zone and same box. The safest and easiest way is to host your public
dns on seperate box (none AD box). Then you can put anything in there. By
default, the DCs put that blank domain name in the dns. This can be turned
off with reg entry, but not recommended and should not host public zone on
your AD zone anyway. If you don't want another box, use your registrars dns
to host your public records.

It's problematic since you need to change the DC's blank host entry to
point to the web server. Which isn't necessarily the best thing to
do.
