The Event Viewer log is filling up with these (2) errors.
The 5504 error states "The DNS server encountered an
invalid domain name in a packet from 192.33.4.12. The
packet is rejected."
We have (2) DC's running DNS internally and are using
Covad as our ISP for external name resolution.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Andy
5504's signify an invalid name in the query lookup. Spaces and underscores
are not allowed characters in DNS, which are usually the culprit. Check this
out:

Look throughout your domain's machines and your DNS for anything with an
undrescore or a space and change that machine name to remove them. If a DC,
then that becomes a bit more difficult.
I would start with 192.33.4.12. Now if that is not your machine, then I
would look internally or make sure you're not using your ISP's DNS in your
ip properties. Configure a forwarder for efficient Internet resolution.
