I am running windows 2000 server. I have 4 clients running windows XP pro
and 2 clients running windows 2000 pro. A couple of my clients have to wait
5-15 minutes from the time they logon to the time they see the desktop. I
have noticed in the event viewer for my client machines I have event IDs
5774, 3009, 11165, 3019, and 1053. I have been trying to fix this error for
2 weeks now and I am having no luck. If anyone has any suggestions I would
really appreciate it.

I have DSL from megapath so my DNS addresses are from them. I contacted them
and they said everything was fine. I am also connected through a VPN to a
second windows 2000 server. MY users at that site are not reporting any
problems. They use different DNS entries there.

How is DNS configured in this environment?

No you can't get your DNS addresses from them unless it is a Workgroup
Environment. The ISP also has no effect and no "access" to the machines on
you LAN. You can't have all those machine on the DSL without a NAT Device,
and the NAT Device would be the only thing the ISP can see of be aware of.

That makes it even more complicated.

Think of it this way....

If you never saw your network before, had no idea what it looked like and
how it was designed, installed, and deployed,...but had to troubleshoot a
problem like this from a few lines in an email,....what would you want to
know? :-)

Don't send e-mail or reply to me except you need consulting services. Posting on MS newsgroup will benefit all readers and you may get more help.
