I recently tried to install a wireless network on my 3 home computers. With
two of the computers it worked instantly and I had no problems whatsoever.
The third computer has had all kinds of problems with the connection and no
matter what configuration I try I always get a "cannot be displayed- DNS
error" message. I have even tried returning it to the original hardware
configuration with only the DSL modem connected directly to the computer
without any network, but I still get this message. Restoring and/or
re-installing Windows have also been of no help. When I run ipconfig I am
able to ping IP addresses, but not actual site names. All three computers
are running XP and none of the wizards or help items seem to help. If
anyone had an idea on how to fix it I would be extremely grateful!
