I recently remove and old ISP program from computer and all of sudden i lost
my IE and everytime i go and try to open it up, the page comes up page could
not be displayed. Also says at top of page can not find server. And at the
bottom it says DNS Error. I am using Windows Xp Professional and have the
SP2 service pack loaded. Have contacted Microsoft numerous times and tried
tons of things to repair it, but nothing happens, or i get transferred all
over the place instead of telling me where and how to ReDownload IE into my
computer. Have also tried the manufacturer and they have told me there is no
CD to download IE into your computer, since my computer is out of warranty,
it would cost over $125.00 to talk to a technician to try and fix it thru
them. So Does anybody in here have any suggestions on how to fix this or
solve this.

A few of things to try out.
line 68 right side (DNS server error or page cannot be found)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
download this registry edit then run it and reboot your system.

If that didn't work try this.

LSP-fix- http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm

or this

Run the system file checker.
http://www.updatexp.com/scannow-sfc.html

or maybe this.
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/IEFIX.htm

Good Luck!

Why did you do that? Have you changed ISPs?
Have you asked for help from your new ISP?

I am using Windows Xp Professional and have the
SP2 service pack loaded. Have contacted Microsoft numerous times and tried
tons of things to repair it,

Such as?

but nothing happens, or i get transferred all
over the place instead of telling me where and how to ReDownload IE into my

Forget that notion. IE is integrated into your OS. The version that you have,
commonly called IE6sp2, does not exist independently.

Have also tried the manufacturer and they have told me there is no
CD to download IE into your computer,

Now you know why.

since my computer is out of warranty,
it would cost over $125.00 to talk to a technician to try and fix it thru

First of all find out if you have a link. Open a cmd window and enter

ipconfig /all
and
nslookup

If the first command doesn't report 2 addresses for DNS server
and the second command doesn't use one of them successfully
to look itself up that would explain your symptoms and they would
be symptoms which your ISP should help you with.

As an alternative use the XP network troubleshooter
(e.g. press Win-F1 and search for "network diagnostics"
set all scanning options and then scan your system with it.
You can also enter the same scanner from the cmd line
by entering:
netsh diag gui

Good luck
