DNS entries still showing

Hi

When I look in the DNS console there are numerous (and old) records pointing
to the same IP, looks like they have not been removed. I read a post on
scaveging but tried it and it has not worked, does anyone have a guide on
how set this up correctly please?

Doing scavenging is easy but two steps --
and so trivial to miss either half. You
may also have another problem and the
scavenging may be working properly without
doing what you wish it too accomplish.

Scavenging must be enabled in two places:

1) Server as a while
Enable scavenging & Set: Scavenging Period

2) Each zone you wish to scavenge
Enable scavenging & set:
NoRefreshInterval +
RefreshInterval

Then wait for:

NoRefreshInterval + RefreshInterval plus
the next Scavenging Period to come around.

Please could you give me an example of what the frequencies should be set
to, on both zones and server. Is there a recommended interval?

LONG.

No shorter than the defaults unless you absolutely
understand and need that: 1 week + 1 week + 1 week

Or about 2 1/2 weeks for average scavening of
abandoned records.
