DNS Does not resolve addresses after an attempt to install a WiFi Router

I attempted to install at WiFi router from LinkSys. This
did not go through to completion. After this I noticed
that the DNS does not resolve any addresses even if I dial-
up and connect to the Internet using a modem. I can ping
several sites, so I assume that the TCP/IP subsystem is
still working.

Check the documentation for the router. I assume you want it in corporate
mode (acts as a bridge between the wired and wireless segments).

Also check if you can do a simple ping, such as ping 4.2.2.2 from the
wireless segment. If that works, then I would assume it's a DNS
misconfiguration on the clients. If it doesn't, then it would be a router
misconfig.
