Hi!;

I'm using Windows 2000 Server and now facing internet browsing problem. I
noticed this caused by DNS client service problem. Once I enable the DNS
client service on server. Even I can log on to ISP however the web browse can
not browse to any web. The web browse will always shows the page can not be
display. However when I stop the DNS client service on that server, the
internet resume the function. I can visit the web again. I have tried to test
browse web on other Windows 2000 server. No matter I start or stop the DNS
client service, it doesn't affect the web browsing function. So I believe
this is DNS problem. however how do I troubleshot and fix the problem. Any
one has the idea?

Thanks & Regards

I responded to this same exact question in the
microsoft.public.windows.server.dns newsgroup. Please take a look at that
newsgroup for my response.

If a post had been cross-posted to relevant newsgroups instead of being
multiposted,
it would have been to THE POSTER'S benefit, as well as the folks responding
to the
poster's quest for assistance for a few reasons:

1. You would have been able to see the response in both newsgroups at the
same exact time.
2. Collaboration between folks in both groups to provide you with more
possible solutions
3. Eliminate the possiblity of duplicate responses.
4. Newsgroup etiquette

If not sure how to crosspost, here is more info to better help in future
posts.
