I have a corrupted DNS cache and I can not flush it. I
tried with ipconfig etc. I must have an unknow worm. I
have the latest IE patches and the latest anti virus. The
cache is redirecting searches to cpanel.net web site. I
checked and I do not have the Qhost worm. Any ideas?

Whoa...I'm not alone! I have the *exact* same problem.
I can not detect a virus from all my searches and can not
flush the cache. It seems to specifically be blocking
*all* search engines. Anyone have an answer? I'm
desperate here.

I had the same problem....here is the thing...if Qhost
executes, it deletes itself afterwards so its not
detected, but its registry changes remain. Go to
Symantec or McAfee's website and try their
removal/cleanup tool. If that fails, both sites show how
to manually fix the problem(its involved, but works).
