Kevin

It appears that someone has poisoned the dns cache on my
xp prof system. I have tried ipconfig /flushdns and also
changed the ttl in the registry but I can't seem to get
the entries removed from the cache. Can anyone help?

Marc,

Thanks, I ran the removal tool per your message below.
The tool reported that my computer was not infected with
the Trojar.Qhosts and the DNS cache is still filled with
bogus records. By the way, the bogus records cover all
the major search engines. Something is actively changing
these records because the ttl keeps getting reset to a
very large number... I really appreciate your help!!

Still sounds like qhosts. You might try instructions on other anti-virus
sites as there are a couple variants.
