Can anyone help with a script to automatically backup the DNS server?
The backup should consist of all dns zones and settings.

You can use DNSCMD to export the zones. For more information please see 304489 Extracting DNS Active Directory-

Thanks for the info.

Unfortunately the DNSCMD /ZoneExport options works only in Windows 2003 DNS.
My DNS is Windows 2000.

Is there away for a solution?

Eventually i used a batch script for this, that uses the nslookup command
and pipe.
For example:
echo ls -d myzone.com | nslookup > myzone.com.txt
