If DNS is on the Domain Controller, make sure that in TCP/IP the DC points to itself only for DNS. Next, open the properties of My Computer. Verify on the
Network Identification tab, that the Full Computer name includes the AD domain name. If the primary DNS suffix doesn't match the domain name, please give
MS support a call. We can send you a script that will correct this problem. If this is correct, open the properties of the DNS zone from the DNS MMC. Make
sure that "Allow dynamic updates" is set to "Yes". At a command prompt, type "ipconfig /flushdns", press enter and then type "ipconfig /registerdns" and press
enter. Lastly, restart the netlogon service to register the SRV records.
Thank you,
Mike Johnston
