We're a 2000 Active Dir. single domain and recently rolled

okay.
"All of a sudden" DNS Alias' stopped resolving. Not aware
of any configuration changes we've made that could be
causing this strange behavior.
Thanks so much for any input you may have!

Not really sure what you're asking here. "Alias' is a cname in DNS context,
where one name points to another name. If the other name is not resolvable,
then we need to take a look at that. If you have a 2nd subnet (not sure if
you have a new domain or in the same domain) then a suffix issue can be the
cause with just those users.
Can you be more explicit and define your topology, and if multiple domains,
what name you are trying to resolve, how you are resolving it (ping?), is
the problem confined to the new subnet(site) or domain or is it global, and
also from the machine that you are trying to resolve the name, an example
and also an ipconfig /all would be helpful to evaluate the machine's
configuration.
Thanks.
