When my computer is added to my active directory and I type nslookup
www.yahoo.com I get the result below which tags on mycompany.net to the end
of each query as seen below and I don't get the correct nslookup info. But if
I remove my computer from the AD domain and run the same query I get the
correct result. Is my DNS or active directory setup incorrectly?

C:\Documents and Settings\test>nslookup www.yahoo.com
Server: vnsc-bak.sys.gtei.net
Address: 4.2.2.2

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: www.yahoo.com.mycompany.net
Address: 71.18.227.196

When I remove the computer from the domain I get:

C:\Documents and Settings\test>nslookup
www.yahoo.com
Server: vnsc-bak.sys.gtei.net
Address: 4.2.2.2

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: www.yahoo-ht3.akadns.net
Address: 209.131.36.158
Aliases: www.yahoo.com

Is your AD Domain a sub domain of mycompany.net?
Make sure all clients use only the internal DNS server for the AD domain.
(Usually the DCs IP address)
Do not use an ISP or external DNS in TCP/IP properties of any member of an
AD domain.
