Hi,Open up device manager and then open the sub folders

select properties then the advanced settings tab this
will show if DMA is enabled.Which is a faster burn than
PIO settings.If PIO is set then select "use DMA when
available" from the drop down menu, then right click and
select uninstall, that IDE channel will be removed.Reboot
and it will be reinstalled by windows and "should" be set
to DMA. Sometimes this setting will revert back to PIO
