dll version

Hi! When installing a print driver that uses the driverfile PSCRIPT5.DLL our drivers get the version 5.1.2600.0. We have a Windows 2000 network with SP3. On one print server out of 180 this is not true! When installing on that server the version is 5.00.2150.1. I have tried to delete the PSCRIPT5.DLL and PS5UI.DLL file but that does not help. We install the drivers from the same source.

This is the XP version of the driver. This version was shipped with Win2k
SP4 as well as XP. If anyone has TSed to the server using XP or Win2k SP4
as the client and the client transfers printer resources, the server will
get the XP driver.

Is it possible to do a rollback?
As I said I tried to delete the dll file. Need the version to be correct because of problemes with mapping drivers when using Citrix ICA Client

You will need to reinstall a driver that uses this file with one with the
correct version. The new version will not be in use until after stopping
then starting the spooler service.

Looking at your mail again you have a server that has pscript ver 2150
(unsure where this is from) and you want to replace this with the 2600
version (XP version).

I would make a printer connection from the server with the 2150 version to a
PS printer on the 2600 version server. The new driver should get installed
over the 2150 version but the 2150 version will not be unloaded until the
spooler is stopped. When you start the spooler the 2600 version will be
loaded.

because of problemes with mapping drivers when using Citrix ICA Client.
