The DLL in question is MSADRH15.DLL, which is stopping my copy of
Paint Shop Photo Album 5 from running.

Thanks

Without your saying exactly "how" it's preventing it from running, your best
option is going to be re-installing PSPA

Any error messages?... if so, what are they?

Ask in microsoft news group (microsoft.public ) or
comp.graphics.apps.paint-shop-pro

The re-install has made no difference - I'm still getting the same DLL
error message and the application closes down.

Any ideas on what to do next?

Web search for another copy of the dll and overwrite your one, having
backed it up first.

But what _IS_ the error message you are receiving? (we'll be in a better
position to advise if we know what the problem actually is).

Apologies for not making myself clear.

The error message reads in full on the screen after trying to start
PSPA5:

'Pspa has caused an error in MSADRH15.DLL. Pspa will now close. If you
continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer.'

The application then closes. Re-starts do not appear to make any
difference.

I hope that explaination helps!!

In that case, as the dll file is part of the MDAC package, you may want to
try re-installing/updating MDAC as re-installing PSPA did not help;
