Hi, I have had a problem that i cant resolve. I believe that it is a dll
thing not registering. anyways, what I would like to know, is if anyone
knows of a *free* and easy to use program that finds problems in dll files,
or if they are missing or corrupt, etc. AND if it fixes any if found. Is
there any harm in using these programs or are they safe and wont make the pc
a mess. I hope that you can suggest one that I might try.

Thanks for your help-! ! ! !

There is no such animal. It would be difficult to make one program that
would know all the info about all the possible versions of all the DLLs out
there. You're talking about millions of possibilities.

In this case it falls upon the user to determine the problem and then look
for a replacement.

To check operating system .dll's run the system file checker.

I once used a .dll cleaner which scans for any unused .dll's from programs
that were removed. My advice is to stay clear of these.

To register .dll's click on start>run and type in
regsvr32 "leave a space" then type in the name of the .dll and click ok

If you need dll's here are two sites where you can get them.
