DLL files and add and remove programs help

Hey everytime i try to rename a file or do a search an
error comes up that says user32.dll error signature what
does that mean and also i have a couple programs that are
in ADD AND REMOVE PROGRAMS that i have uninstalled but
the name still reamains there how do i get rid of it.

Try going back into Add or Remove Programs, highlighting
the subject program and clicking on remove. Quite
possibly you will get a message that the program cannot
be found and do you want to remove the listing.
