Only with Compaq NX9005 laptop. Wireless card will not
work on battery power - shows in device manager as unable
to start (code 10). Works fine on AC power. I've heard
a rumour that this model laptop may not have been built
according to Microsoft's ACPI standards - as I understand
it the card needs a 5v power supply and when running off
battery, could it be possible that the card is only
receiving 3v and not initialising as a result. HP so far
have refused to help numerous people that have complained
about this. It has to be a power related problem as the
card works fine on AC and works fine in other laptops.
Any advice anyone?
