dlink 250+ Update problem

While running the Windows Update for my wireless card, a
the D-link (Dlink) 250+ Airplus, my computer disconnected.
Windows Update left my computer in a completely unstable
state and I'm unable to regain control. The Found New
Hardware dialog appears, though the card has been
physically removed from the machine.

Dlink referred me to Microsoft, saying that Microsoft was
aware of the problem, but I have found no info in the
knowledgebase. Apparently, this fix requires editing the
registry. Any info?

I would remove the item from the system-devices or 'update driver' and put
back the original driver supplied by D-Link
I'm wary of updating hardware by Windows Update....

You might get a better response from D-Link Taiwan by the way....they have
some smart guys there!
