DLExpert 0.99 crashes when 10054 (Connection Reset by peer) returned

ISA server seems to have a habit of sending 10054 (connection reset by
peer) excessively. I don't fully understand why it returns that but if
it is returned to DLExpert, it crashes. If there are multiple threads
of a download running and I just leave the "DLExpert has encountered a
problem and needs to close." window on the screen (i.e. don't click
any of the buttons on there) then the other threads for the same
download continue.

This I have established that its always 10054 returned that causes
DLExpert to crash.

Does anyone know how/where to report bugs for it? I've never been able
to send e-mail to the address on the web page. Always gets returned
from the queue undeliverable.

Have you tried to update your DLEexpert? Mine is aready version 1.5

Where the hell did you get version 1.5??? I was just at the homepage
and it is still listed as version 0.99 !! Are we talking about the
same program?? at www.yanew.com ?? DLExpert ??

That is the last version I have seen (0.99) currently using ver 0.975
and even Dling Linux 3 CD set without problems. It was a pity that
Chen Ying had decided not to continue this fine program.
 
It indeed is a fine program. Didn't know the author won't be releasing
newer versions. I roll it out to all the workstations in the office as
part of a standard install.

I fixed the problem. Totally by accident too. In the Proxy
authentication all the machines that had the userid in the format
"<domain name>\<user id>" were the ones that were crashing. One
machine (my own actually) had just the user id in there. And DLE
wasn't crashing on it. Changed it on all the other machines and they
are working fine too now. Go figure!

Hi,

Switch to Download Accelerator Plus. Though it is an adware, it is the
best of all.
