DLabel Creator

"DLabel Creator You can design floppy disk labels, CD front and back
covers, audio cassette labels, and custom labels. DLabel Creator lets
you resize and color your label, add images (BMP, GIF, JPG, and other
image formats), and customize your text. You can also zoom in and out,
as well as print preview your labels." (1.28mb)

The homepage seem to be down. I found the software available here:
http://www.softlookup.com/preview/dis847.html

and here (with a screenshot):
http://loadsoft.narod.ru/home_family_and_leisure/music/cd_and_cassette_in
serts/review2_50108_index.html

Does anyone know if the homepage moved? Any similar freeware to
recommend? I'm really only interested in CD front/back/disc labels, I
don't need to make labels for audiocassettes or floppy discs. It's
unclear from the description whether DLabel Creator can handle the disc
labels.

Thanks.

How about this one:

|Hmm, I don't think that's the same software. The author/company behind the
|freeware DLabel Creator is DWorks. DLabel-2k is by a company called
|DLSoft, and their emphasis seems to be on barcodes.

You're right. It's not the same company. My bad.

|Failing that, alternatives would be most welcome. :-)

Maybe this one will work for you.

"Label Creator 4000 Edition Special is a tool to create, design and
publish your own Cd / DVD labels (round CD / DVD, Front label, Back label
and Mini CD). You can create a gradient, add a logo (a little picture),
Gallery (pictures), effects... A tool is available to give effects et put
your text where you want on your label. It's easy to use."

Alas, while it looks like a nice little proggy, it doesn't create disc
labels. But thanks anyway for the suggestion.

You're right. Sorry I missed that. How about this one:

http://jump.to/undercoverxp

Found it at WebAttack.
Here's another one I found there, but when I visited the author's site
I saw that you need to register to get the file:

http://www.webattack.com/get/labelcreator.shtml

Here's another:

http://www.neato.com/neato_product5.asp?class_id=_MEDIAFACE

There are others out there, but be sure to check for viruses and
spyware on the downloads.

Thanks, JC & Tramp, for the other suggestions ... will check them out.

I have the full paid-for version of Mediaface ... don't like it. I
bought it out of frustration at not finding freeware that did what I
wanted, but this turns out to be worse, IMO. Serves me right for going
"commercial." :-)
