Outlook 2003. Exchange 2003.

We have a shared contacts folder in public folders that is visible to all
our folks, and it editable by some. I am the system administrator, and when
logged in under an account that is in the Administrators group Icreate a
distribution list in this shared contacts folder. When others try to access
this DL, they cannot even see it in the shared contacts. Why would this
happen? How can it be fixed? Thanks.

As Russ Valentine suggested - this post would be better suited to the
Exchange newsgroup.

Under the "Forms" tab of the properties of the shared folder (make sure you
are accessing the properties as the owner of the folder) I needed to select
"Any Form" under the section "Allow these forms in this folder." It was set
to allow just one specific form (which we designed for our contacts). Hence,
the form for a DL was not being allowed. Now it works! Thanks.

Thanks for pointing out the missing (crucial) piece of data - the DL was not
using the standard form but a user defined one. ALL of that data is needed
to get help in Newsgroups :)
