I tried to use my DKU-5 cable to connect my nokia phone, but I didn’t find
the vista driver.

I tried to install the XP driver, and it installed well, but the port didn’t
work. The driver can’t load the .sys file.

Have someone a solution for this problem?

Thanks for your help.

I've had the same problem under XP and now under VISTA.

Is your cable the genuine Nokia cable, or like mine a third party one?
Nokia claim that only theirs works (naturally).

There's been a post in the newsgroup (General I think) from someone
with the same problem who used another cable from a friend and it
worked so I'm thinking of getting the genuine Nokia cable and going for
their replacement for the DKU-5 -- CA-42

http://www.nokia.com.au/nokia/0,,37187,00.html

but check here for the compatibility with your phone -- mine is a 3120

Good luck and do tell me what cable and how you get on.

Thanks for your help Hugh. The cable it’s original and it worked under XP.
I get the problem with Vista. The driver installs well, but Vista has
problems because can´t open or load the serial port (virtual). If we can
resolve this issue, the driver will work fine.

Thanks -- I guess I'd better get the Nokia cable and I'll get the CA-42
and hope I can get it working under both XP and VISTA.

Hopefully someone here can help with the COM port.
