The capacity of my C drive is about 13 GB meanwhile D drive has about 67 GB. Is there anyway I can increase C drive by 22 GB and reduce D drive by 22 GB? It is frustrating that I have to deal with very little room left over in C drive. Can you give me a detailed instruction how to do it? I have SONY Vaio PCV-RZ22G

You need a third-party program such as Acronis PartitionExpert or PowerQuest
PartitionMagic. At the same time you should reconsider the way you use your
hard disk. Experts recommend that you keep the operating system and all
applications on drive C:, and your data on drive D:. If you adopt this
approach then 13 GBytes is plenty for drive C:.

Hi

There are two ways to do this
The first way is free but you will have to reinstall everything. First backup all your data. Second create a startup disk and recreate the partions. Unfortunately the tools in the starup disk dont let you resize the partition. Only way is to delete the old ones. Then when you go to recreate, you can specify the size. Go to http://www.blackviper.com/Articles/OS/fdisk/fdisk1.htm for detailed insturctions on using fdisk

The second option is you buy program like Symantec Powerquest Partition Magic. This program will allow you to resize the partitions without deleting them. This way you will not have to reinstall everything.

But backup your data just incase something goes wrong.
