Dive backup

I have a window xp pro system and a Nero Burner using a memorex dvd-r disc
When I backup entire hard drive on dvd w/ verify option I get verify errors
due to active partition. I tried to deactivate my antivirus and retry it
again and I still had so many verify checks I had to cancel hard drive b/u.
When I tried backup w/o the verify option I had no problem
Nero Verify option is not a problem on selected file b/us.
My taskmanager had no applications shown on the tab
Is there anything I can do such as deactivating other software to have a
minimize verify msgs?
 
I believe the verify is telling you that you have a bad backup. Not checking
will not make it good.
