we are using dfs to replicate a copy of the all the files
and folders of a server to a backup server of identical
file structure incase the server goes down then we can
quickly switch over. recently i looked at the properties
of the a couple of folders. there are some inconsistency
between the server, number of files they hold. some of the
file that are missing are quite old, as in they should of
been replicated intailly when the dfs link was setup.
question i have, does this happen often and can i force a
refresh of the files so they sychc up again. i know you
can't just copy the files that are missing to the server
else you get journal wrap.
