My appologies...I am your "everyday admin user"
I believe 2003
Typically when an email is sent Outlook will "verify" an address & then
"underline" the address to show it has been verified or at least
recognized
by Outlook.
When I try to send to a distribution list (be it one that was created by
someone else that I have FULL access to or myself) it does none of that.
If I click on the "Check Names" Icon it displays the "Microsoft Outlook
does
not recognize" message & has no "suggestions" for alternative names.

I can create, view, edit etc. a distribution list, but when I try to
send
an
email to the list it does not recognize it, so I am unable to send to
it.
